I had a unplanned to watch Cellular the further morning and my first thought was that here we go with complementary spin-off of Phone Booth, marginal movie afterward someone forced to stay on the phone for 90 some minutes while we cringe in our seat. But, to my astonishment , this was actually a extremely normal movie. Im am not essentially clear what genre to classify this movie in because it has it all. Suspense, drama, action, comic relief; this movie has everything.
The movie begins subsequent to the kidnapping of Jessica Martin, played by Kim Bassinger.
Jessica is a high teacher science teacher, (that happens to wear fishnet stockings!!) who has her home damage into and mysteriously taken away to an dull location by the bad guys and placed in an attic. They smash the phone hanging upon the wall and comport yourself to lock Jessica in the attic. Jessica subsequently rigs the broken phone (remember - shes a science teacher) and is adept to randomly dial a phone number.
Now enters Ryan, played by Chris Evans, he plays your typical yet to be 20s dude whos on your own mission is to win back up his ex-girlfriend. Jessica finds a bring to life number and lo and behold, it is Ryans cell phone.
The movie after that proceeds from there. Jessica cries out for someone she doesnt know in a desperate plea for help. Ryan initially has the normal response that anyone would have considering receiving a call as soon as this, but goes higher than the call of commitment in an effort to keep a girl that he doesnt even know.
I am not going to be the spoiler and this is all I am going to say you, but this is a great sleeper movie. Is it a little far-off fetched? Yes, but thus what. Forget not quite your problems and sit beside and watch Cellular, I guarantee you wont be disappointed!
